The simplest breathwork changes nothing on purpose. You watch the breath as it is, at the nostrils, the upper lip, or the rise and fall of the belly. When attention wanders, you bring it back without judgement. In the Anapana tradition this observation is the whole meditation.
Body-based breath awareness adds one step: noticing where the breath moves and where it does not, without forcing it anywhere. Many people discover their everyday breath is shallower or higher in the chest than they assumed. Noticing is enough; nothing needs correcting in the moment.
Because nothing is intensified, this family carries the fewest cautions and builds the foundation every other practice rests on: the ability to feel what the breath is doing and to return to it as an anchor.
